Floating above the Earth’s curve
Where the ocean meets the sky
The view strikes a nerve
There’s a meaning in my heartbeat
I can’t quite put into words
Something tells me it matters
To understand it before I’m gone✧
Riding this planet through the cosmos
A passenger on a journey
Made possible by the beating of a heart
Witnessing the dawning of a new day
Knowing that I play a part
Because of the beating of a heart

In the moment of realization
There’s a feeling I can’t describe
Deep within my chest
Telling me there’s purpose to this life✧
Riding this planet through the cosmos
A passenger on a journey
Made possible by the beating of a heart
Experiencing the wonder of creation
Knowing that I play a part

I move through my morning ritual
Making breakfast for the children
Seeing them off to school
Realizing we were born of something ancient
Forged in a distant fire
And we are here because of the beating of a heart✧
